Troy Mathias, MSW, LICSW
Director of Clinics, Therapist, Domestic Abuse Program Manager
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Helping people is foundational to who I am and informs how I personally answer the question, “Why am I here?” My approach is to meet clients where they are, foster a non-judgmental environment, and build trust so clients feel comfortable having meaningful and honest conversations with me. I use a person-centered approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based perspectives, and trauma-informed practices, including Trauma-Focused CBT, to help clients build practical skills, work through difficult experiences, and recognize their own resilience. I enjoy helping clients work toward meaningful change and finding ways to help them move forward in a way that feels meaningful to them.
My personal interests include spending time with family and friends, where I can relax and just be me; playing video games, where I enjoy connecting and interacting with other players around the world; and playing the piano, which I’ve done since I was 5 years old. Music has always been something that helps me clear my mind, stay grounded, and take a break from the demands of everyday life.
